The
conference is open to both members and non-members of the ISFL and
participants are invited to submit proposals to present papers at
the conference.
The
theme will allow participants to discuss a wide range of current
topics in family law. International comparative approaches to topics
are encouraged but not required. The Conference focuses more on a
European perspective but approaches from other countries and
cultures are strongly encouraged.
Suggested topics include:
a)
Divorce (based on agreement or unilateral divorce) and agreements, in
connection with divorce, on children and economic matters.
b)
Agreements before or during the marriage on property issues and
alimony after divorce.
c)
Agreements between unmarried cohabitees on their personal and
economic conditions during or after the cohabitation.
d)
Agreements between parents, neither married nor cohabiting, on children
(concerning parental responsibility, contact and maintenance).
e) Other
current issues regarding to the role of self-determination in family
law.
